Nufika is a growing San Antonio, TX based engineering company looking to add an experienced electrical engineer to the team. The ideal candidate will be capable of working fully remote performing electrical engineering duties with limited supervision in support of typical projects found in the oil & gas and other heavy industries. The role will also be heavily engaged in developing NFPA 70E compliant electrical safety programs, procedures, and training.
REQUIREMENTS

B.S. Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university.

Electrical modeling experience using ETAP, SKM, or Easy Power.

Arc flash study experience.

Travel: 10% or less on average.

After-hours support: not required.

Must be able to sit at a desk in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Must be disciplined to work fully remote.

May be required to wear Flame Resistant (FR) clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, and steel toed boots.

May be required to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

May be required to pass a pre-employment or random drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Passed FE exam or current Electrical PE license holder (preferred).

Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards.

Experienced preparing NFPA 70E compliant electrical safety programs.

Extreme eye for detail.

Comfortable working under deadline conditions.

Project management experience.

AutoCAD drafting.

Strong technical writing skills.

Experienced sizing and specifying electrical cables, electrical infrastructure, and electrical equipment typically found in the oil & gas and other heavy industries.

Experienced preparing drawings, specifications, bills of material, and scopes of work.

Experience working as an electrical engineer for an oil & gas company or electric utility strongly preferred.

Understanding or experience with typical electrical equipment maintenance best practices.
Position Details

Candidates in the San Antonio, TX area will be given preference.

Contract position (1099-NEC) with the potential to convert to a direct hire.

Duration: 6+ months
-
Work schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CT.

Pay: $30.00 to $75.00 per hour DOE (straight time after 40 hours).

Annual bonus: 10% discretionary (once eligibility requirements met).

Holidays: 10 days paid (once eligibility requirements met).

PTO: 10 days paid (once eligibility requirements met).
